Lore Maes graduated in 2024 from the University of Antwerp. During her law studies, she mainly focused on in-depth studies of civil law, but also criminal law. From a young age, Lore dreamed of a career as an attorney, making the legal profession the only logical step after her studies.
In September 2024, she joined our firm, where her interest in construction law and corporate law further developed.

Caroline De Beuckelaer studied law at the University of Antwerp. During her master’s studies, she focused on criminal law and civil law, always with a career as an attorney in mind. In June 2023, she graduated with a master's degree in law, after which she joined the firm.
Caroline has developed a particular interest in construction law and corporate law.
In her free time, she is actively involved in initiatives organized by the Antwerp Bar Association. She also joined the board of association of the young lawyers at the Antwerp Bar for the judicial year 2025–2026.

Tom Michiels obtained his Master of Laws degree in 2019 from the University of Antwerp, where he specialized in civil law (major) and criminal law (minor).
In May 2020, Tom took the oath of office and was registered as an attorney at the Antwerp Bar. Since 2021, he has been affiliated with the law firm Lawcity.be and has been actively working there as an associate attorney since 2023. He handles cases varying from personal injury to environmental law.
Tom also completed piano studies at the Conservatory in Kortrijk, graduating with highest distinction. In his free time, he remains active as a pianist.

Benedict Lamiroy obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the UFSIA in Antwerp in 1986. In 1989, he also obtained his Master of Laws degree from the Catholic University of Leuven.
In October 1989, he began his internship as an attorney at the Antwerp Bar and received general training, specialising in commercial law and contract law, particularly in lease agreements and general contract law.
Benedict has been working with Bruno Schoenaerts since 1989, with whom he forms the Schoenaerts & Lamiroy law firm. He also became a partner at Lawcity.be in July 2012.
Benedict Lamiroy is a generalist but is mainly active in the practice areas of commercial leases, real estate, contract law (both commercial and civil contracts), juvenile law, general civil law and civil procedure. He always works on the basis of a thorough analysis of the merits and weaknesses of a case, in order to assist and advise the client as efficiently as possible in legal proceedings, expert assessments, negotiations and more.

With a Master’s degree in law from the Catholic University of Leuven and a strong interest in the legal profession, Steven Maris started his traineeship at Lawcity.be in 2010. Six years later, on January 1, 2016, he became a partner.
Today, Steven mainly handles cases related to commercial law (including copyright and IT law) and planning.
From September 2019 until December 2024, Steven has served as (an expert) chairman of the GECORO (Municipal Planning Commission) of the Municipality of Herenthout.
From a young age, he has been actively involved in associations and charities during his spare time. During his studies, Steven organized numerous large events for VZW VRG, the official faculty association of Leuven law students. He was part of the general assembly of VRG up to six years after his graduation.
Today, Steven is a member of the Round Table ‘Ronde Tafel 56 Mechelen’, where he supports various charities. In addition, Steven is also a member of the Legal Working Group of the Belgian Luxembourg Council of Shopping Centers (BLSC).

In the same year that Steven De Coster graduated with honours in law from the Catholic University of Leuven, he established his own law firm in Brasschaat in 1984.
Over the years – the first seven of which he spent as an assistant at his old university – Steven grew his one-man practice into a dynamic law firm with several partners and attorneys.
Steven specialises mainly in the construction and real estate sectors, the ICT sector and business in general.
Since 2015, he has been a member of the Legal Working Group of the Belgian Luxembourg Council of Shopping Centres (BLSC). In addition, Steven holds a doctoral degree, studying the legal aspects of property development.
His interest in construction law, civil law and civil procedure has led to several legal publications.
